CEQA and Environmental Impact Reports: 2020 Cases, Standards, Mitigation Measures, Exemptions and Lead Agencies

This CLE course will guide environmental counsel on recent California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) case law, policy, and practice developments. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has seen no shortage of CEQA cases in the California trial and appellate courts, with over 20 published appellate decisions to date. This panel will provide legal updates relevant to attorneys, consultants, and public agency staff.

The panelists will provide an overview of key CEQA decisions from 2020, updates on recently adopted CEQA legislation and regulatory updates, as well as an overview of pandemic-related Executive Orders and Rules of Court.
